We're Melting!!

It was truly exciting - not the melting part, the photography part!  Recently, I had the opportunity to be a "second shooter" at a wedding at the Brooks Art Museum.  The venue was absolutely beautiful.  Or maybe breath-taking would a more accurate adjective....

'cause the wedding was outside....late afternoon....temperatures in the 90's.....humidity off the charts....it was hard to breathe......yet in the midst of a hot Memphis summer evening, an artistic, sweet, young and patient couple sweltered in the heat, and yet somehow managed to always keep their "cool".

I, on the other hand, was simply thankful that black doesn't show sweat. :-)  Thanks, Mindy, for allowing me to shoot with you.  You are absolutely terrific!!!

I always love a photograph that captures the subjective element of mood.  This is one of my favorites from that hot summer afternoon.  I think I can speak with confidence when I say that all the guests were very thankful for the fans - quite a thoughtful gesture from the bride and groom.
