Do not Squander Time

Tuesday, October 19, 2010:
My mother had a stroke - a debilitating, forever life-altering stroke.  Left without the ability to swallow, speak, completely unresponsive on one side of her body, she is now living her worst nightmare.

An incredibly artistic woman, the past several years had been overshadowed by the pain and frustration of fibromyalgia.  Her creativeness was an infrequent guest as fibro made himself a constant, unwelcome presence.

And now a stroke.  Airlifted to a hospital equipped with stroke specialists, she received the best in medical care.  They stabilized her, and last night transferred her to a skilled nursing facility with a rehab wing.

Time.
Time will tell.
Time flies.
Time is precious.
"....do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of."
Benjamin Franklin,
Poor Richards Almanac 1746
