Color Adjustment (2)

Like my last post, the greatest challenge in this restoration was the color.

Moderately simple changes in tone and contrast began to reveal details lost in the original. The best surprise in these details was her eyes.  They are spectacular!

Soon it was time to re-work the color.  The color in the original was now more of a suggestion rather than clear, distinguishable colors.  By adding masked Color Balance layers at varying opacity, I was able to create understated colors that I feel are in keeping with the tone of the original.

This is one beautiful lady.  I would have loved to have known her.  To grow up under the watch-care of these sparkling eyes and lovely smile....priceless experience......priceless memories.
