This turned out to be quite a project. I merged three images taken in Hawaii over 30 years ago. The color was so distorted in the originals that I had to decide on an artistic direction.
I could have kept the colors muted, but since I doubt that the water was actually the color of our Mighty Mississippi, I opted for a an over-saturated, vintage postcard look.
I like the end result. It definitely has a vintage feel to it, and since the owner of the photographs is a avid scrapbooker, I'm thinking this version of the image will work really well in the layout she's planning.
